Florida Instructional Materials Center - Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI)

FIMC-VI is a statewide resource center supporting K-12 students who are visually impaired and enrolled in a public school, private school, or students being homeschooled. The project is dedicated to promoting the success of Florida’s students with visual impairments by providing, high-quality accessible instructional materials in a timely manner and providing teachers, administrators, families, agency personnel and others with resources and opportunities for training and professional learning.

Florida's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Project, A Multi-Tiered System of Supports

Our mission is to increase the capacity of Florida’s school districts to use team-based planning and problem-solving to implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The project provides high-quality professional learning and technical assistance to help districts and schools implement and sustain PBIS within an MTSS so that every student learns in a safe and supportive school community.

FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD)

The FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) is one of the 7 regional CARD centers and covers 18 counties in the Big Bend/Panhandle area. The FSU CARD is dedicated to providing individuals with autism or related disabilities, their families, and professionals who work with them with free consultation, resources, and educational support and training to build knowledge, infrastructure, sustainability, and capacity within the community.

Institute for Small and Rural Districts

The Institute for Small and Rural Districts (ISRD) project provides training and technical assistance designed to support positive outcomes for students with disabilities and their families across a network of 54 small and rural Florida school districts. The project assists district-level administrators and Staffing Specialists as they implement the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations and the Florida State Performance Plan (SPP). Working in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education and The Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS), the goal of The ISRD Project is to enhance overall services to students with disabilities and those at risk to increase student performance.

Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional or Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET)

SEDNET is an IDEA-funded State project with 19 regional projects and one administrative project. This multiagency network includes child-serving agencies, providers, students, and families. SEDNET fosters interagency collaboration among professionals in education, mental health, substance abuse, child welfare, and juvenile justice. These systems serve youth with or at risk of E/BD. SEDNET provides educational supports, mental health connections, and professional learning for leadership, educators, and community members. These resources help staff and families develop skills that increase student access to instruction and graduation.

Panhandle Area Educational Consortium

PAEC fosters collaboration among districts, promotes shared services, and develops talent across all levels of our member schools. We currently serve 15 member districts, representing over 48,000 students, along with numerous non-member districts that purchase our services. Our dedicated service area includes the school districts of Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington Counties, as well as the FSU Collegiate School (FSU-Bay) and the FAMU Developmental Research School.

Project 10: Transition Education Network

Project 10: Transition Education Network, based at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, works to build the capacity of Florida school districts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality secondary transition services that improve academic success and post-school outcomes for students with disabilities. Serving as a key link between the Florida Department of Education—specifically the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services—and local personnel, the project provides training, technical assistance, and resources grounded in law, policy, and evidence-based practices. Its work is organized around four core priorities—capacity building, interagency collaboration, transition legislation and policy, and student development and outcomes—to ensure coordinated, research-based support that prepares students for education, employment, and independent living.

PS/RtI Technology and Learning Connections

The Problem Solving/Response to Intervention, Technology and Learning Connections (PS/RtI TLC) project is designed to improve student achievement through the alignment of technology, policy, and curriculum within a multi-tiered, universal education system. The project emphasizes the use of technology tools with features to increase academic engagement and reduce or remove barriers to learning across all areas of the curriculum. With a focus on students with disabilities and those who are struggling or at risk, the TLC project supports districts and schools in reducing achievement gaps by fostering evidence-based, effective instructional practices. This work engages all students in a structured problem-solving process to enhance learning outcomes. The project provides support to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), Local Assistive Technology Specialists (LATS), and FLDOE/BEESS IDEA-funded state projects, building capacity at the local and state levels to implement sustainable, high-impact practices that improve access, participation, and achievement for all learners.

Resource Materials and Technology Center for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (RMTC-DHH)

The Resource Materials and Technology Center for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (RMTC-DHH) works collaboratively with all Florida stakeholders to positively influence outcomes of students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) in preparation for college, career, and life. RMTC-DHH supports families and school personnel by researching current national and state initiatives, by procuring interventions, curricula, and assessments, and by utilizing data to assist stakeholders in implementing instructional practices.

The Florida Problem Solving/RtI Project

The Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention (PS/RtI) Project is committed to supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and schools to improve student outcomes through data driven problem solving within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
